Patiala PLW Recruitment 2022: The Office of Senior Personnel Officer, Patiala Rail Engine Workshop (PLW) has invited Applications from the Young Candidates Eligible for various Apprenticeship Trades. The Candidates having fulfilled the Eligibility specific to the Trade Apprenticeship intending to proceed with submission of their respective Candidature, may apply in Online mode with the Documents together with the Processing Fee (Payable through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking/RuPay) receivable Before or On 16th November 2022 (16.11.2022) being the Last Date.
Patiala Rail Engine Workshop will fill 295 Vacancies to be filled with the Candidates’ opted Trades. The Training Duration invariably for all the Trade Apprenticeships is 03 Years.
Eligibility Condition: Only Candidates having been issued the Trade relevant National Trade Certificate (NTC) or Provisional National Trade Certificate (PNTC) by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT)/State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT) should apply.
Modality of Applying: All Willing Candidates should first register themselves on the National Skill Development Corporation (NCDC) Website before formally applying to Patiala Rail Engine Workshop (PLW) Registration Link.
Application/Processing Fee: i) General Category Candidates: Rs.100.00. ii) There is No Fee for Reserved Community Candidates.
Mandatory Certificates/Documents for Online Submission: i) Scanned Most recent Photograph, Signature, Self-attested Photocopies of i) Matriculation Certificate (Birth Date as an Age Proof), ii) Aadhar Card, iii) Local Post Office Pin Code No., iv) Registered Mobile Number and v) Valid Email Id, etc.
Selection Process: The Indian Railways constituted Selection Board/Screening Committee following receipt of the Applications from the Candidates would I) prepare a Merit List based on the Marks obtained in Matriculation and ITI Trade II) Document Verification.

01. Electrician: 140 Vacancies
02. Mechanic (Diesel): 40 Vacancies
03. Machinist: 15 Vacancies
04. Fitter: 75 Vacancies
05. Welder (Gas & Electric): 25 Vacancies
Payable Stipend Amout:
i) 1st Year: Rs.7000.00 Per Month
ii) 2nd Year:Rs.7700.00 Per Month
iii) 3rd Year:Rs.8050.00 Per Month
Eligibility: Age Limits, Educational Qualifications and Technical Competency/ies:
I) Common Age Limits (As on 31.10.2022): The Eligible Candidate should be as follows:
i) For Trade Posts 01-04 {Electrician, Mechanic (Diesel), Machinist and Fitter)} Minimum 15 Years and Maximum 24 Years.
ii) For Trade Posts 05 Welder (G&E): Minimum 15 Years and Maximum 22 Years.
II, III) Educational Qualifications and Technical Competency/ies: The Candidates should have the following Educational Qualifications and Technical Competency/ies
01. Electrician Trade Apprenticeship
a) Minimal Educational Qualification: Passed Intermediate (10+2) with Science and Mathematics AND Matriculation (scoring Minimum 50% Marks) from any Duly Recognized Board/Council established by the Law of the Government of India.
b) Minimum Technical Qualification: Passed Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Electrician Trade Duly Recognized by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT)/State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT).
02. Mechanic (Diesel) Trade Apprenticeship
a) Minimal Educational Qualification: Passed Intermediate (10+2) AND Matriculation (scoring Minimum 50% Marks) from any Duly Recognized Board/Council.
b) Minimum Technical Qualification: Passed Industrial Training Institute Mechanic (Diesel) Trade.
03. Machinist Trade Apprenticeship
a) Minimal Educational Qualification:
Passed Intermediate (10+2) with Science and Mathematics and Matriculation with Minimum 50% Marks from any Duly Recognized Board/Council.
b) Minimum Technical Qualification: Passed ITI Machinist Trade.
04. Fitter Trade Apprenticeship
a) Minimal Educational Qualification: Passed Intermediate (10+2) with Science AND Mathematics with Matriculation scoring Minimum 50% Marks from any Duly Recognized Board/Council.
b) Minimum Technical Qualification: Passed the Industrial Training Institute Fitter Trade.
05. Welder (Gas & Electric) Trade Apprenticeship
a) Minimal Educational Qualification: Passed Class VIII (8th Standard) from any Duly Recognized Board/Council.
b) Minimum Technical Qualification: Passed the ITI Welder Trade.
