About The Department of Sports and Youth Affairs – The Department of Sports and Youth Affairs was upgraded and notified as a full fledged Directorate from the Sports cell of the Office of the Director of Public Instruction, Meghalaya. Subsequently, in pursuance of Government policy a separate Department was also created at the level of Government in the year 1985.
The basic objective of the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs is to facilitate the development of sports and games, development of youth activities alongside the creation of necessary infrastructure required for proper grooming, nurturing and channelising the youth potentials for full realization of individual potentials and thereby contributing to human resource development of the State and becoming an assets to the society.

Junior Engineer
He/ She must hold a Diploma in Civil Engineering certificate from any recognized institution.
Tally Expert
He/She must hold a Diploma in Computer Application with Tally (DCAT) from any recognized Institute/Vocational training institute.
Experience:- He/She should have a one-year experience certificate in Tally application.
Office Peon
Class VIII Passed
Senior Divisional Accountant
Retired Personal from Directorate of Accounts and Treasuries.
Junior Divisional Accountant
Retired Personal from Directorate of Accounts and Treasuries.
The applicants should attach with their application form the following Self-attested age certificate, educational qualification certificate, EPIC, experience, certificates, ST/SC certificate, and other testimonials, if any. 2 (Two) recent passport-size photographs self-attested
