NEW DELHI: Jamia Millia Islamia has announced the admission process for engineering, medicine and undergraduate (UG) programmes for the academic session 2022-23. The university had earlier decided to adopt Common University Entrance Test (CUET 2022) for admission to eight selected courses. However, as per the latest notice, the JMI will offer admission to 10 courses through CUET scores.

As per the JMI prospectus, “Admission to BTech. (2022-23) programme of Jamia Millia Islamia will be based on the final rank of JEE Main 2022 conducted by NTA (National Test Agency).”
To be admitted to BTech programme, candidates who have registered for JEE Main 2022 are also required to fill the online application form of Jamia Millia Islamia at jmicoe.in, jmi.ac.in before May 12, 2022.
For admission to BArch programme at the university, candidates have to qualify National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture. And, for admission to BDS programme, they will have to qualify the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET 2022).

JMI will hold CUCET 2022 for the following 10 undergraduate courses. The university has informed applicants that they will have to appear for the CUET 2022 exam and also register online at jmicoe.in. They will also have to enter CUET 2022 application number in the JMI admission form. The rank list will be published based on the final rank of CUET 2022, strictly as per merit and JMI Admission Policy, it said. Courses offered to NTA for conducting entrance test through CUET are as follows.

BA(Hons) Hindi
BA( Hons) Economics

BVoc (Solar Energy)
BSc (Hons) Physics
Jamia Millia Islamia conducts JMI entrance exam every year for candidates to take admission in undergraduate programmes. They will have to appear for the university entrance exam if they want to take admission in any other UG programmes apart from the 10 courses mentioned above. Candidates who qualify JMI entrance exam will have to appear for the JMI Counselling after the result declaration to get admission in the university.
