Wherever a Court Attendant is posted his duty is to complete all assistant related tasks at the Court. The daily routine of a Court Attendant is quite busy and always running but full responsibilities. Its work functions include carrying files from one room to another, photo copy of documents, helping officials in preparing documents, getting office correspondence typed, etc.

To become a Court Attendant a candidate needs to have qualified secondary (10th) with any stream from a recognized board or university. Candidate having qualified ITI certificate can also apply for Court Attendant posts. Candidates having following skills are given preference in the selection process-
1. Training in multi-skills.
2. Certificate in LMV / HMV / Cooking / Electrician / Carpentry / Housekeeping, etc.
To become a Court Attendant a candidate’s age must fall into the range of 18 years to 27 years. The reserved category (SC / ST / OBC / PWD/ ExSM) candidates get relaxation in upper age limit according to the rules laid down by the Government.
The selection of candidates for Court Attendant posts is done on the basis of their performance in the Written Exam, related trade / skill test and Personal Interview. Written exam consists of the questions related to the General Intelligence, Numerical Aptitude, General English and General Awareness. The candidates who qualify the written test are called for the skill / trade test.
For the post of Court Attendant, initially, a salary is given according to the Pay Matrix Level – 3, i.e. Rs. 21,700/- of the Seventh Pay Commission. Apart from this, various allowances (DA, HRA, etc.) are also given. So, the total initial salary for the post of Cout Attendant is given Rs. 33315/- per moth.
